PACKING REMINDERS
Because Walk to Emmaus is a time of spiritual reflection, it is important that there be no interruptions during your three-day weekend. We ask that you put aside business matters cell phones, watches, and other distractions and commit yourself to the Emmaus experience.
Bring comfortable casual clothing. Most of the time will be spent inside, but there will be occasional walks and time spent outdoors.
What to bring to my Walk
- Bible and Daily Devotional
- Money for Book Table
- Bed Linens including pillow and blankets
- Towel and Washcloth Shower shoes and cap
- Personal Toiletries
- Medicines
- Special need items such as CPAP’s etc., (Extension cord may be required to plug that unit into the socket)
- Flashlight, extra batteries as required
- Rain gear and umbrella, if rain is expected
- Sweater or Jacket, if weather turns chilly
- Small amount of money (books will be on sale - $5-$25 range)
What NOT to bring to my Walk
- Cell Phone
- Watch
- iPod or MP3 Player
- Tape Recorder
- Radio / TV / Computer
- Camera
Your sponsor is the best resource if you need help or have questions about the Walk to Emmaus. Make sure to confirm transportation arrangements with your sponsor for the day of the walk and let him/her know of any special needs that you or your family may have during your weekend away.
